Lauren + Carson | Vancouver Backyard Wedding

Some couples prefer simple and others are all about the details. There’s no right or wrong way to plan your wedding, unless you’re planning it to keep someone else happy. From the moment Lauren reached out to me to photograph their wedding and told me about her plans for the day, I could just tell that she was putting careful thought and love into every detail to make their day both gorgeous and fun for all.

Under a stunning floral arch, Lauren and Carson stood with hands joined, reciting their vows to each other as their friends and family quietly wiped away happy tears. The air flowed with music as their friends sang, played the guitar, and the piano. A soft serve ice cream machine was brought in to satisfy sweet tooths, along with the most scrumptious strawberry shortcakes I’ve ever had. The two lovebirds joined me in the field just as the sun was setting for some soft, golden hour portraits. As fireworks lit up the sky, they drove off in a classic car lined with flowers in bright colors.
