Katia and John | Western Caribbean Wedding
My dear friends Katia and John opted for a non-typical destination wedding: in the middle of the ocean! As soon as they told us they were getting married on a cruise ship at sea and wanted me to capture it, I practically had my bags ready to go … months in advance. So excited! As were the 25 other guests who celebrated for 6 days with them as we cruised over the Caribbean blues, stopping at Cozumel and the Bahamas.
I met John not long after I met my husband and was working near him in FL years later when he first told me he was going on a date with a cute girl he just met named Katia.
“I love telling the story how we first met. I was working at the Easter bunny photo counter at the mall and all of the sudden, I looked up and there was John asking me “Are you the Easter bunny?” Such a random pick up line, but it worked. 6 years laters we are married!” Katia says.
This girl is awesome and has the best sense of humor, you guys. Wanna know how she decided to surprise John during their first look?? Scroll on and see for yourself. :)
xoxo
Congrats John and Katia on officially tying the knot and allowing me to be a part of your beautiful celebration. Cheers to a lifetime of happiness together!
P.S. Yes, that handsome fella is my hubs. He’s ordained and got to work beside me for the first time!
