3 iPhone Apps I Use for Photography
So you’re not a photo genius. It’s okay, I’m not either - though I do have over 10 years of education on the topic behind me. What I have for you today is 3 photos apps you can download on your phone that will help improve the look of your photos! I have all three of these following apps on my phone and I use them in different ways depending on the look I’m going for and how much editing the photo really needs.
Ready? Here goes!
1. Snapseed - this user friendly app is one of the best detailed editing tools I’ve found for fine-tune editing beyond the basic adjustments. You can add a filter, tune the image with adjustments, add texture and use a healing tool to help with blemishes.
2. VSCO - this one has a variety of filters that you can add to your photos to create a film-like look. One of my favorite features with this app is that you can edit the amount of the filter you want applied. You know when someone totally over-edits a photo with too heavy of a filter and it looks like crap? Don’t be that person. Add your filter and then dial it back just a tad to keep some of the natural colors and textures in the photo.
3. Layout - There are all kinds of occasions that call for a collage: when you’re making a card, or want to put more than one photo into a single frame, or are making a shout-out post where you want to show more than one person/feature. This app makes it so easy with simple drag and drop features.
Okay, choose one (or all three) to download that sound fun and go have fun with them! Be sure to follow me on Instagram and give me a shoutout letting me know if you tried any of these apps!
