Trish + Dane | PNW Coastal Engagement Session
"We love to spend our weekends wandering or driving around. We start by waking up whenever feels right, sip some coffee while we chat, then hop in the shower together. Once we're ready for the day, we pick a random spot on the map that we haven't seen yet & drive. We'll listen to music, have long talks, or sometimes enjoy the silence & scenery. It's so nice to forget all the responsibility & obligations of the work week & get lost in freedom together." - Trish
"...To be completely honest, most of the places tend to be a slight let down, and that is okay. The journey and time together is the part we enjoy. We just pick a destination to give us an excuse to justify the journey." - Dane
Being the weekend adventurers they are, we decided to mimic a classic date for the two lovebirds and set off for a hike to the beach (with a mini picnic in hand). We spent the afternoon discovering crabs and clams, finding sand dollars, enjoying a fruit and cheese plate, laughing, and having the best time in the sunshine. Dane even managed to sting his hand by some type of crazy worm on the beach, but was a total trooper! He held and gently kissed his beautiful fiancee as often as possible. Trish just let the day flow, without rush or expectations, soaking in every moment with her future groom. The two of them truly inspired me to keep up on mini adventure dates with my own hubs.
I'm here to assure you that your engagement doesn't need to be boring or stuffy. Stay true to yourself and what you both love. Set it up like a date and have fun like Trish and Dane did. Keep scrollin' for more inspo!
